That said, I think the Morris signing was an upgrade. Aaron Ward had a ton of intangibles, and was great on the radio, but he wasn’t as fast as Morris. Then again, Morris was the hapless defenseman that Ovechkin and Rick Nash both turned inside-out for some highlight goals. That’s what we have Chara for, though, so I’m less worried.

As for Kessel, They’re probably moving Kobasew somewhere, which sucks because Kobasew is like 12 different kinds of awesome in a third-line sorta way. Kessel is obviously better, though, so we’d have to move him.

Most importantly, P.J. Axelsson is going home to Sweden, to play for Frolunda HC. :,-(
