Jeremy Williams Signs with Detroit
Jeremy Wiliams, the man with the million dollar shot and five cent legs, has signed on with the Detroit Red Wings. Term and contract status (one or two-way) were not annouced but Faceoff.com lists his salary as league minimum. FWIW, Michigan Live has this categorized as a Grand Rapids transacation.
Given all of the layoffs and cost cutting at CBC, the HNIC guys and Don Cherry can simply re-run all of the early season talking-head footage from last year and dub Mr. Black "Williams" over "Wellwood" and "Red Wings" over any mention of the Canucks. That extra effort will save us all a bunch of time and hassle.

Of course, now he'll have a career year...
There’s Kopecky’s replacement at RW! I think Detroit just keeps signing J. Williams until they hit on the right one.

This will not...

Quiet you!
Okay, okay, I get it. You're a total jackass with nothing to offer the world. Stop trying to prove it every time you open your mouth.
Don’t worry, his career will be ended the first time he skates over the Leafs blueline.

So did
Kris Newbury, which I find curious because I thought the Wings were big on intelligence…

With our luck and Detroit's development system, he'll be another Darren Helm!

or not
"Hey, when I was traded, it was just a draft pick!"
hah
I went to school with him. It took him 3 tries to pass grade 9 math. It doesn’t matter how good Detroit’s development system is, if he’s up on the big club even one game this year, I’ll be surprised.
