PrintEditor's Note: steve_w was at the London Knights' open practice and snapped some pictures of Nazem Kadri which he has been kind enough to post.
I was at the Knights open practice today and lo! I snagged some Kadri shots while testing out my equipment!

I thought I'd also mention that Kadri seems to be a pretty cool, laid back guy. Besides what I've seen of him from hanging around before practice I also saw him take the time to chat, sign some autographs and get his picture taken with some small kids as he was leaving the JLC today. He easily could have just said hi, as he was trying to get to his car at the time. Instead he stopped and came back so the kids parents could snag a few shots with him. Overall he seemed pretty humble and had an "Aww, Shucks!" attitude at the attention he was getting. (P.S. - He's putting that signing bonus to good use - he pulled out in a Mercedes. I didn't catch the model though.)
This is pretty much a test run for the in game pics and I thought some of you may enjoy the shots of Kadri. Comments on the watermarking? Too obtrusive?

The watermarking is a bit of a shame, but the pics look great.

Being a Leaf fan here requires one to be sufficiently lubricated... and truculent!
The Knights are asking that I do what I can to curb the ability for people to reproduce these off the net. I’m just trying to accommodate them as much as I can. I really am just a student photographer who’s just lucky to be getting this opportunity! (They have a pro there already.)
I’m excited about Kadri as well – even if he doesn’t make the team this year I see some good upside in his overall abilities. It was just nice to see that in person he seems to be a great guy as well.

Kadri is a real character kid, its part of the reason Burke went for him over MPS.
He’s going to be not only a very good hockey player for the Leafs but an excellent dressing room presence and leader

He really seems to be. Don’t be confused when you read reports that he needs “mental maturity.” They are referring to on ice consistency not character.

yah, he didnt even kick up a stink last year when Tavares came in and stole the light from him, he just played and played well
that is a sign of maturity for sure

I was in London over the weekend for the Provincial ball hockey championships, was anyone else in the tournement? There was a rumour going around the rinks that Sam Gagner was playing on one of the teams under a fake name… I dont think it was true though. We finished 9th out of 51 teams.
We partied with a bunch of Knights fans afterwards, London is an awesome party town.
There is no "I" in team, but there is an "M" and an "E"
Who wants to bet
That Danny’s brother Mark Heatley asks to be traded from Munchen before the tournament is over?
