Dear Frederick, thank you for your nice letter, but I am actually a US Marine who was born to kill, whereas clearly you seam to have mistaken me for some sort of wine sipping, communist dick suck. And although peace probably appeals to tree hugging bi-sexuals like you and your parents, I happen to be a death-dealing, blood-crazed warrior who wakes up every day just hoping for the chance to dismember my enemies and defile their civilizations. Peace sucks a hairy asshole, Freddy. War is the mother-fucking answer.

In high school, I had a crush on this one girl for like 3 years, told my BEST friend that I liked her, and I kid you not, the very next day he asked her out. Hilariously, she rejected him but she also ended up rejecting me as well but yea, I should’ve clarified… it was a FORMER best friend.
Funny thing is, the almost exact same thing happened again in my last year of high school. Let’s just say, that helped foster my general bitterness to people.

Im the same way
When I say recipe, I should really say “method”.
Brown the ground beef first, add some finely chopped onions and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Add tomato sauce and tomato paste if you like.
Bring to a boil and let simmer for at least an hour. Add some chopped basil and simmer for another 15 minutes.
The browning of the meat is KEY!
The Leafs may not win everygame, but they will beat the shit out of you
Truculence FTW
A traditional bolognese wouldn’t include tomato sauce.
I started by rendering bacon (too lazy to buy guanciale or pancetta), and sweating a mire-poix in a pan. Then I browned the meat in there and added tomato paste.
Then, every 20 minutes for 2 hours I added 4 tablespoons of whole milk and simmered the mixture down. I think I need more emulsifying power, just read a recipe that used straight butter instead of milk, which could work.

In Naples they make a meat ragu with tomato sauce.

Additional research leads me to believe my sauce is thick enough, bolognese is traditionally served on an egg based pasta as opposed to durum wheat pasta.
I need to make my own pasta now apparently. * rubs hands together menacingly *
Also I’ll still probably thicken it with butter. Butter rules.

Yeah no company selling MP3 players does anything remotely innovative besides Apple.

Nokia’s 5800 is pretty innovative seeing as how all the bells and whistles on the latest 3g iPhone were on it a year earlier. that said, Apple’s iPhone is still the king of the market, I won’t deny it.
disclaimer – i love my 5800

I wouldn't say that
There’s a misconception that Apple is an innovative company, I would say they market themselves as an “innovative” company well by taking everyone else’s idea and improving on it and promoting the implication that it was Apple who originally came up with it, and this is usually backed up by Apple’s highly rabid and generally drone-like fanboy-base.
The chiclet keyboard concept used all on MacBook and iMac keyboards now… a lot of people seem to think that is an Apple innovation when it was actually introduced by Sony on their Vaio laptops a good 2 years before that design started popping up on Apple’s own hardware.

The only
thing Apple did for mp3 players that was innovative was the implementation of the 4-way touch scroll wheel, which I will admit is quite fantastic

Multi-touch yes, but that is a more phone-oriented technology then mp3 player.
Why do Creative and their ilk constantly steal Apple’s form factor and design cues?
That’s because Apple has a brilliant marketing department, their products aren’t the best or that much better but they sure as hell know how to sell them and Creative, Microsoft and all these other companies haven’t figured it out yet or when they try, people accuse of gasp stealing from Apple.

you forgot function and convenience. apple market share is far lower globally than you realize.
What all this means is that, from a global perspective, Apple is not nearly as significant as the black turtle-neck brigade may like to think. In many parts of the world, a computer system that offers good value for money is what’s important. One that also looks nice and makes the owner feel good about him- or herself is a luxury many can’t afford.
this doesn’t mean they aren’t superior, just that Apple products cost a premium that much of the world is not interested in paying.

Had we gone through with the land invasion of Japan more civilians would have died than the 200,000 in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
No mention of the Rape of Nanking and the 11 million Chinese civilians the Japanese killed without the bomb oddly enough.
The Nanking Massacre or Nanjing Massacre, also known as the Rape of Nanking, refers to a six-week period following the Japanese capture of Nanking, then capital of the Republic of China, on December 9, 1937. During this period, 20-80,000 women were raped 1 and hundreds of thousands of civilians were murdered by soldiers of the Imperial Japanese Army.

The Germans killed six million Jews and 20 million Russians [i.e. Soviet citizens]; the Japanese slaughtered as many as 30 million Filipinos, Malays, Vietnamese, Cambodians, Indonesians and Burmese, at least 23 million of them ethnic Chinese. Both nations looted the countries they conquered on a monumental scale, though Japan plundered more, over a longer period, than the Nazis. Both conquerors enslaved millions and exploited them as forced labourers—and, in the case of the Japanese, as [forced] prostitutes for front-line troops. If you were a Nazi prisoner of war from Britain, America, Australia, New Zealand or Canada (but not Russia) you faced a 4% chance of not surviving the war; [by comparison] the death rate for Allied POWs held by the Japanese was nearly 30%
