Deveaux obviously read Down Goes Brown's exhortation to grab the first thing that moved and begin to pummel them. Gord Miller was cracking wise on the TSN telecast when 30 seconds had passed without a fight and Jeff Marek was wondering if Leafs fans were beginning to get restless when 60 seconds had elapsed without a punch being thrown in anger. Deveaux answered the bell admirably and racked up the Leafs' first win of the year.
