Truculence Tracker: Mike Komisarek v. Jordan Staal

This is something new for this season that'll hopefully track all of the Leafs' fights this season. Thanks to Hockey Fights for the videos and be sure to log in and vote in their poll for this fight available here.

This entire thing begins because Matt Cooke is a dummy and he turned his back on a hit in order to try to draw a penalty. Then again, Jordan Staal isn't too bright for jumping in there. Mike Komisarek, apparently, ain't nothing to fuck with. The highlight of this has to be Der Komissar pulling Staal up off of the ice in order to beat on him properly. Was it a bit of an overreaction? Maybe but that's why you don't normally jump on the back of players. You never know how they'll react.

You gotta give Staal credit though, he HAD to know he was going to get beat down but he went in there anyways, defending a player few teammates would really feel great about standing up for.
