Ottawa – Over
Time to move out of Ottawa because Garrioch is getting to you. The correct answer is “Under…by a mile”

Nah, I think they get off to a decent start (leading to a million articles of Clouston popsicle-sucking) before Alfie and Leclaire break down and Kovalev quits. Should be enough to get them into the high 80s.

Hm, come to think of it, give me some action on the Panthers under.

Under on Chicago and San Jose. Under on Colorado too… seriously I think they will be quite godawful this year.
Being a Leaf fan here requires one to be sufficiently lubricated... and truculent!
Deuchane will be the biggest let down of the draft me thinks, he wont come into his own for 3-5 years

Man, I really hope this is the year the wheels fall off in Detroit.

Me too
Unfortunately I don’t think it will happen, because they seem to replace their personnel losses with freshly developed talent, their existing star players are still really really good, and they will probably be highly motivated due to lsing the Cup to Pittsburgh. Not to mention the asinine Sid-“missing the handshake line” “scandal” (/vomit)

yeah, their core is still very much intact, and they have a couple very good prospects ready to step into the bigs.
their only weakness is goaltending, Osgoods horse shoe must be getting pretty rusty

God help the rest of the league if they ever got a hold of a Louongo or Lundqvist. I think they just have Osgood still to humour us.

yah, If detroit didnt have so much money tied up in all those good forwards and defensemen (not that its a bad idea) and they could land one though free agency..dear lord
when Lindstrom retires look for the best UFA goalie to have a good contract thrown at em or over paid but good goalie to be snapped up by the wings for cents on the dollar

Wings fan by birth. Leafs fan by truculent osmosis.
How the fuck does it happen that Montreal bookies have so much influence over this? Or do they plan on making their retirement off of local fans?

I'm taking the over
86 points for the Leafs would be a record of 37-33-12; only 3 more wins that last season’s record of 34-35-13. I’m sorry Vegas, but I think all the moves done by the Leafs will equate to more than a 3 win increase.

Really,
they’re just copying last year’s final standing with some minor juggling of teams. Please refer to DGB for why this is destined to be horrendously wrong.

Actually, if I had to listen to any experts it would be the vegas guys. They have money on this, so they put some actual work into it.

When it comes to hockey, the amount of time they spend making the lines is negligible. It’s enough to making a semi-reasonable line and letting it flow. There is very very little action on the NHL in Vegas compared to other sports and there is a direct correlation between the action and the time spent on developing and managing the lines.
NHL betting is to Vegas what Cricket coverage is to Canadian sports reporting.
