Would be nice to be able to take a flyer on someone like him, though there's no room for him on the big club. Should we try to pick him up in hopes that a new environment (and Ron Wilson) eliminates his defensive problems? If so, who would he push down the ladder? Part of me thinks we should pick him up, use him as the 13th forward (or sub-in 4th liner) until we know exactly what he can bring. Then either demote him (and risk losing him ourselves), or see if he develops into what he was supposed to once upon a time. I'd rather take a chance on him than say Mayers. Thoughts? Yay or nay?
