I thought Frogren could go down to the AHL without being on Waivers?
What picks did Calgary get for Stralman?
And Odin’s gonna be mad. Did the Yotes really feel they needed a Carcillo replacement?

what media?
I thought he’d just end up being in the minors, they have no room for him.

oh yes, you missed the whole “straleman was the best player on the ice for the Flames in a preseason game, the Leafs did it again” thing when you were on the cruise

that whole 4th rounder was bullshit for the tampa salary dump

The 4th rounder was absolutely about the Frogren contract.
The league refused to approve Frogren’s contract with the Leafs and the NHLPA greived it (which let Frogren play while the matter was under discussion).
Ultimately the league was correct and the Leafs had to pay the price.

oh yes, the 4th rounder was the correct punishment for the Frogren incident, but I remember no mention of it until the Salary dump, the timing just seems to perfect.

Also, if this whole thing was in ‘dispute’ why did the NHL allow for Frogren to play the year?
another whitewash…

Christian Hanson has been returned to the Marlies along with Jonas Frogren. Frogren is a disposable piece at this point.
