The Empty Arena Tour 2010 makes its second stop in Florida. The Leafs and Lightning had a stink off that finally ended in OT when the Lightning won. The Panthers are without Nathan Horton who broke his leg and will be out up to six weeks.

John Mitchell is back in the lineup tonight along with Jeff Finger. Rosehill and Exelby are hanging out in the press box. Gustavsson starts in net against Vokoun, standard stuff.

Interesting how the emphasis in Mitchell’s name has shifted as his play worsens. He’s gone from Johnny “F_--in’” Mitchell! to Johnny “Fu_-_king!” Mitchell.

this is bizarre

leafs and PANTHERS on a saturday night?? i’m too lazy to check, but i’m pretty sure this is the first saturday leafs game in 2 or 3 years that hasn’t featured the leafs vs a canadian team, an original six team, the penguins, the caps, or the flyers. look for insecure leaf-haters across the country to start crying about the CBC force-feeding them meaningless and unentertaining leaf games against B-market teams.

Yesterday is dead, but not my memory.

Not really

They can change the channel easily enough if they don’t want to watch the game.

As has been explained many times before, if they aren’t in the Leafs region they don’t get the Leafs feed most of the time. Their whining makes as much sense as a Leaf fan complaining that they don’t get the Leafs feed in Pittsburgh.
