Who knew that this kind of hit would anger Luke Schenn? Well, now Justin Abdelkader knows that when you miss with the bull you get lefts to the face.

Schenn now has 2/4 Skate and Tell Dat pictures
He’s a man on a mission.
Bobby Ryan...can he be acquired?
blurr1974: No.
I hope people like these pictures. At the end of the year we’ll have a great repository of there I hope.

It’s tough to put into words just how much better this is than having someone else step up for Schenn. Even if the hit was totally clean, Schenn said “I’m going to make sure you never ever hit me like that again, because I’m now going to beat the shit out of you”. Amazing.
Negative. I am a meat popsicle.
I usually frown on the idea of gooning somebody after a clean hit but it’s usually another player jumping in after they see a teammate get pasted.
If it’s the player sticking up for himself, scrapping with the guy who delivered the hit, and the instigator is handed out, I am 100% cool with it.
Let the Wookie win.
Watching the video again, it looks like Abdelkader catches Schenn almost at the same spot as Tucker caught Peca: just above the knee on the thigh.

yup its a clean hit, but there is a higher injury chance percent on these bad boys

Ironically almost exactly the kind of clean hit that one L. Schenn of Toronto is beloved for dishing out.
funny that sim’s head is around schenn’s waist when he get’s hit, and abdlekader’s head is in the same place while he’s doing the hitting.

Yes exhibit A on how to erase a player with a clean hit. Notice the difference? IMO Abdelkader was still in a “crouched” position when he collided a bit on the low side while Schenn stood up in his hit making contact with most of his body. I think the two hits were vastly different.

yeah, I dont see the comparison at all, one is a low bridge where the player gets flipped over the hitter with the full forward momentum going forward and one is a full body hit where the momentum is stopped and reversed.
now don’t get me wrong, I love a good hip check, just that when you put your hip that hard into the area around someones knee it has potential to be very very dangerous (see Peca: Mike). \Schenn has had himself a knee injury already (the ovechkin hit) and probably wasn’t too pleased that someone was “targeting” his legs.
Was it legal? sure, but if you are gonna low bridge someone, legal or not, you can’t expect them to take it and be happy about it

What are you, some kind of traitor? :)

Favourite part of the fight
was when Hughson (I think, getting rusty with my announcers) called out, “I hope Abdelkader knows that he’s going to be facing some lefts from Schenn!”
Colour commentator: “Yeah, doesn’t look like he realized that yet!!”
"Holy crip!! He's a CRAPPLE!!!"
That picture kind of scares me, because it looks like the guy’s head is going to hit the ice.
Loving the Leafs is like being in love with a drug-addled, gambling addicted prostitute with a heart of gold and a bunch of humanitarian awards from her youth. It’s hard. It hurts. But dammit! I just love them!

Ya, I was worried about that after seeing the end of the fight, but obviously nothing happened.

What’s the origin of the whole “Skate and Tell Dat” meme? It seems like something from the NO Saints, but is there a connection to the Leafs?

And Bloge’s new video is based on the Bed Intruder song on YouTube.
