Battle of Ontario Round One

7PM ET: CBC

Pascal Leclaire stopped 34 of 36 in a 2-1 loss to Buffalo last night in their home opener. I'm not sure if that bodes well for the Leafs in that he might be tired or if it's a bad sign that he posted an 0.944 SV% in his first game of the season.

Per Elliotte Friedman Leclaire is in net and Spezza is "possible". For the Leafs Jean-Sebastien Giguere gets the start. Thursday night was a great start but Giguere will need to keep it up if the Leafs have any chance at 8th place.

Ottawa's power play was as ineffectual at Buffalo as ours was on Thursday night. Something has to give; let's hope our special teams outduel Ottawa's. This is going to be a nailbiter tonight, go Leafs go!
