Print1. LEBDA-HATERS - he's not great but he's better than KOMISAREK and BEAUCHEMIN (ya i said it!). And do you really think his 14 min a game contributes that much?
2. TOSKALA HATERS - it's not his fault he played on a crappy leafs team and was part of a horrible trade.
3. BEAUCHEMIN LOVERS - face it, he's nearly as bad as KOMI he just makes less money.
4. VERSTEEG AND KESSEL - try passing.
5. BURKE - you're a bad GM, face it. the others must mock you and have parties behind your back.
6. BURKE-DEFENDERS - you make "take kessel over unproven prospects any day" but you're crazy because no other NHL GM would do the same.
7. WILSON - you are not the macho man you think you are!
8. PHANEUF - you're essentially McCabe and we traded him for Van Ryn, hows that for perspective?
9. BURKE, WILSON, PHANEUF - JUST BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS HAVE SCOWLS ON YOUR FACE DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HOCKEY!

- Brett Lebda has been on for 0 goals for and 12 goals against at even strength. That’s terrible considering how little he plays and how he’s supposed to provide offence.
- Vesa Toskala was horrible. Don’t try to pretend otherwise.
- Beauchemin is miles better than Komisarek.

I've gotta disagree with you
Frequency of scowling and winning have a direct correlation. Mike Babcock is one good example.
I think you properly addressed the real problems of this Leaf team with your first two points. We definitely need more Lebda and Toskala.

You’re flat wrong- go talk to the other 28 GM’s about the Kessel trade (excluding the principals involved). Every single one of them has said that if they were Toronto’s GM they’d have made this deal. In fact, the following GM’s are ON RECORD (as in recorded proof) as saying they’d have done it:
-Lou Lamoriello (3 Stanley Cups)
-Jim Rutherford (1 Stanley Cup)
-Ken Holland (Two Stanley Cups and thisclose to a third)
Not that it matters, but Phil Kessel had a higher draft rating than Tyler Seguin. Because you know- NHL Scouts don’t know dick.
