The Leafs need new jerseys...
I complain about this EVERY game. The leafs stroll out onto the ice in jerseys that are more basic than a nine year old's Triple A hockey team's practice jerseys.
Look at all the original 6 teams. Beautiful and classic jerseys. Look at the leafs - they look like ECHL grade jerseys. Frankly, its embarassing (especially when watching with Habs fans).
Something needs to be done. The Leafs need to go back to the more detailed leaf, drop everything that relates to harold ballard.
There was that Leafslogo site, but I feel the movement started by that site died, and PPP needs to pick up the slack. The dark home jerseys rendered on that site are amazing.
I read somewhere they are going to add some horizontal lines to the current "practice" jerseys (...as i called them earlier), but that really won't do this historic franchise justice.
PPP, lets make some noise and get the jersey issues changed. The franchise has tons of money (and history)...lets see them create something timeless.

Frankly, its embarassing (especially when watching with Habs fans).
It is best to deal with this situation by showing them photos of the barber poles jersey and then laughing hysterically and pointing.
We require, as a team, proper levels of pugnacity, testosterone, truculence and belligerence.

I like the current jerseys
sure some stripes on the bottom and a decent shoulder patch (IE not the TML) would make it better but are you trying to tell me you think the Bruins B or the candiens C is better looking than the current crest?
that is poppy cock, POPPY COCK
also it is rumoured the jerseys will be getting a refresh for next season
Puns, Innuendo and Bad Spelling, Yes We Got That
to be honest i dont care what the bruins or canadiens crest looks like, thats besides the point being made – the leafs have plain home/away jerseys when compared to their beautiful 3rd jersey…and it would be really simple to make the 3rd jersey the permanent away jersey, and bring back the 1960’s style jersey for home games.
the refresh is the addition of stripes and patches according to howard berger.
why not use them all?
For the majority of games (classic kit):

For 3rd jersey, use the white one below. For the Hall of Fame Game, use the blue one below.

I don’t hate the ballard-era jersey, and I really don’t think of them as anything different from each other.
Its like one jersey is an orange, and the other is a clementine. Sure they are technically different things, but it my mind it all gets filed under the same category.

Clementines are way better than oranges.
I've always wanted to be a PPP Princess. You see kids, you can be anything you want to be; so long as Jay Leno doesn't also want to be that.

3rd Jersey's As Regular Uniforms
Honestly, those are the best Leafs jersey I’ve ever seen.

Agreed. When I finally bought a new jersey this year (my old one had the “TML” patch with sparkly silver on the shoulers) I didn’t even need to think about it. I went for the 3rd jersey and got “Schenn” on the back.

I still like our jerseys. I still like the simplicity of them. The best jerseys have very little going on. For example:

Thank God...
…we don’t have jerseys like euro soccer teams, where corporate logos overshadow the teams’. It’s bad enough watching players in that getup. Can you imagine paying for the privilege of being a walking billboard for a cellphone company?
Or in the European hockey leagues or the Spengler Cup. I think it’s disgusting.

Welcome
Thanks for joining.
I like our jerseys. They definitely need the stripes at the waist back but they are clean and classic.
If they were going to make any change I’d go back to the third that they use once in a while.
Pension Plan Puppets: A Toronto Maple Leafs blog and a group therapy session.
Sort of...
I’m totally on board with feeling like they resemble practice jerseys. But I also think that less is more and it’s important to keep that “clean and classic” look that PPP has so adroitly referred to.
Add some stripes, get a nice, simple shoulder crest, bring back a touch of that silver piping from the early 2000’s and I’ll be happy.
I love the third jerseys but only as third jerseys. They truly are beautiful but I’m afraid of what would happen if they had to come up with new third jerseys. Things could get real out of hand in a hurry.
Being a fan is as wonderful as it is irrational. Or vice-versa.
Ix-nay on the silver piping. I was so glad when they got rid of that.

Make the 3rd the away, and give me some of this at home:

Nooooooooooo
I love the Leafs Jerseys, they are simple, clean, and pleasing to the eye.
As everyone else in here has said before me, the only change I would agree with is making the 3rd jersey the main one.
I want this:

There are many more ridiculous ideas here: Puckdrawn Leafs Rebranding Competiton
A lot of them are actually really nice looking (in terms of graphic design), but I would never change from our current or classic looks.

I think i’d rather have the Leafs wear a FML jersey than that

Wow
Did one of those Jerseys really try to rebrand the Leafs into the “Toronto Titans”??

Also, WTF is with changing our colours to red/orange? Or green/red? Or blue/red/white? Or purple/black/silver? If the Leafs ever gave up the blue and white the universe would end.

see, I didnt mind the St Pats Jerseys, because there is actual relevant history there, I’d love to see the Leafs rock a St Pats jersey a couple games a year, but the rest of them are abominations and must die

Yeah, in the EA games (sorry, I know) you can play in the St.Pat’s jersey. I wouldn’t mind it either for maybe one game a year but no more.

The idea was to do any re-brand that you wanted.
