Leafs at S*nators: The Flu is Back
Puck Drop: 7PM ET CBC
Eight Ottawa players have the flu including "goaltender" Brian Elliott and will be game time decisions. In the words of Owen Nolan:
Boo hoo, so what. I don't care. We were tired, too, and we found a way to battle back and win the game. I'm sure they have their excuses ready to go.
Jonas Gustavsson starts between the pipes for the Leafs and Viktor Stalberg has been promoted to play with Mitchell and Caputi which has sent Hanson to the fourth line with Orr and Primeau.

Wooot! Win for Shield, Shield’s brother, and Shield’s friends at the game tonight! Go Leafs Go!
Phaneuf Phever, an upgrade in skill and alliteration!
Thumbs up on the photoshop.
I think it’s cute that people think the Leafs have four lines.
Bitter Leaf Fan: because sometimes there's no option but to be bitter...
They have four they just aren’t numbered traditionally.

Except its more like:
2
4A
4B
4C
Columbus: It's amazing how fast the world can go from bad to total shit storm.
Or the Leafs season: either one works
Don't worry, there's still hope
I mean, the St. John’s Maple Leafs DID beat the Ottawa Senators not just in a game, but in a playoff series.
A PLAYOFF!!!1 SERIES!!!1
Keep the faith.
Truculence...starting 10/1/09
This will be the greatest night.
Young, healthy Leafs against sicky, pukey Snes. Stream that from CBC, and playing (finally) Mass Effect 2. Also possibly grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Can it before I drive this truculence through your faceulence and put you in an ambulance.

I dunno, it seems the Leafs always play best when it seems the odds are stacked against them and they have a habit of crapping the bed when things seem to be lining up for them.

this.
Some weird expectation thing I think.
We mostly seem to win when half our fans are like “fuck it im not even going to watch tonight”
Leafs Nation: A drinking team with a hockey problem.
I still regret missing Bozak’s first goal in our awesome game against Philly for that reason.
The Luck of the Irish Leaf: Because when the Irish are short on luck, at least there's tons of booze.
Of all of the leaf games that I have missed (in whole or in part) I would say all but 1 or 2 of them were losses.
Not like that is a big deal considering the amount of losses we have had this year, but generally the games I have missed I have not regretted it much (see Carolina/Toronto)
