NHL.com helps Habs fans plan the parade with this new "History Will Be Made" video. 90% of Habs fans believe that the Cup is returning to Montreal after 17 whole years, and the NHL PR guys apparently agree with them because they've already created a video to celebrate their shocking first round win over a listless Washington Capitals team - and the apparently upcoming 25th Stanley Cup for the Montreal Canadiens. Pardon me if I can't say that with a straight face.
Any excuse to blow up cop cars and smash hospital windows, I suppose.

That makes me want to vomit.
Loving the Leafs is like being in love with a drug-addled, gambling addicted prostitute with a heart of gold and a bunch of humanitarian awards from her youth. It’s hard. It hurts. But dammit! I just love them!

To be fair…Versus mentioned the other day that “no number one seed has EVER lost to the number 8 after leading the series 3 games to 1.”
I’m not saying they’re winning a cup – don’t get me wrong – I’m just saying that…technically…history was made.
True, but as far as I know every other “History Will Be Made” video was about someone who won the Stanley Cup, not someone who played way over their head against a heartless Washington team and fluked out a first round victory
History is made all of the time and goaltenders carry their team all of the time as well. Why is Halak special? It’s gotta be because he downed one of the league’s golden boy teams, that’s it
Boo hoo!

It was a big upset series, that’s about it.
But as much as I hate the Habs, if that kind of series happened to the Leafs, I’d be pretty fuckin psyched too.
Let’s all pray for a quick round 2 exit.
Sid, you know what to do.

Given the limited number of years that there has even been a 1 vs 8 matchup, it’s a pretty limited sample size.
Leaf, the universe and everything.
not nearly as impressive as being down 3-0 in the cup finals and coming back to win against the wings. Go leafs Go.

I’d laugh if they planned a parade and then got owned by the Pens

you know
it’s interesting that the goalie who’s now the second coming of Christ was sitting at the end of the bench for game 4. Maybe he was eating hot dogs and trying to channel his inner Ed Belfour?

The second coming sitting on the bench in one eastern series and the reigning Vezina trophy winner sitting on the bench in the other one.

Tyler Myers made it to the second round without the rest of his team?
Damn that’s impressive.

Pitt scoring about 6 goals tonight would really brighten up my day

Better. Just to give a little extra sting to Washington for making me sad.

The NHL is just trying to milk their marketing of the playoffs. Sure history was made, but as was stated above all of the other commercials were Cup winning/saving moments.
This… well this is what it is. Nice way to ruin the feelings generated from a great Ad campaign, assholes.

Don’t they have a few so far from these playoffs? Like the Datsyuk “what if the draft stopped after the fifth round” and the “Little Joe” Pavelski one?
They took a good idea and killed it
Ray Borque, Mark Messier, Mario Lemieux etc. were all great moments that fit the “History Was Made” category perfectly, but making a bunch of them after a single round is just stupid
If Little Joe Pavelski scores the cup winning goal, then he deserves a commercial. Not before
Boo hoo!
