Myers better than Doughty?
That's what I got from reading the Calder section of his post. Calling Myers the "can't miss" defensemen when compared to Schenn, Doughty, Bogosion and Pietrangelo seems just a little farfetched. Don't you?

I’m sure some new rookie next year will be the talk of the town, and everyone will forget Myers.
Here’s hoping it’s Kadri.

Toronto Maple Leafs: Looking at next year since 1967
Way worse.
I don’t even want to talk about it.
Dreger mentioned it on air today (calling it rediculous), which I thought gave it way too much credit.

That will be
the greatest comedy in history. All the people kissing Myers’s ass, suddenly saying that he’s a piece of crap for the sophomore slump. That will be greatness.

i can’t wait. my happy place is one where myers sucks again so i can stop hearing about him, it just irritates me so much.

I know, if Drew Doughty played in the east they’d all be talking about him. He’s probably the second best d-man in the league behind Shea Weber.

Is the 2015-16 slogan going to be “100 points or bust” then?

I’d say he’s now probably ALSO a can’t miss defenceman.

The Calder can be the kiss of death some times. Regression to the mean.
Loving the Leafs is like being in love with a drug-addled, gambling addicted prostitute with a heart of gold and a bunch of humanitarian awards from her youth. It’s hard. It hurts. But dammit! I just love them!
