Sweatt has unbelievable speed, but what sets him apart is his ability to make plays at high speeds. He also has great acceleration. Sweatt possesses great hands and is smart in his decisions with the puck. Rarely can he be found turning the puck over. I seriously DID NOT think we were going to get in on the Chicago action. The only guy im sad about losing is DiDom.

A point of worry: Chicago was STACKED, how good will Versteeg be when he’s higher up on the depth chart (hence higher up on the opposition’s list of guys to cover).

A point of happiness: KRIS VERSTEEG and what seems to be a damn good prospect for one damn good prospect an 3rd liners!!!!!!!!!

Anyone got Versteeg’s QualCom / QualTeam etc. so we can rack up 1,000 posts analyzing this?

Versteeg only averaged 15:44 on the Hawks last season. Kessel was playing over 19! Versteeg’s numbers were lower in part two a deep team.

Versteeg has never played more than 17 minutes/game in his career. He’s kind of like Kessel in this way – he should be able to step it up this year.

Versteeg had the 6th highest QCOMP on CHI and the worst QCOMP yet managedto put up 44 points playing largely a third line roll.

What can he do with top 6 minutes and a line mate like Kessel…?

You mean worst QTEAM right? Also, the stacked-ness of Chicago does make me worry that a bunch of players look better than they are because no-one can properly defend against their depth (i.e. the whole is more than the sum of its parts a la Byfuglien).
