Germany was my team after the US and the outside hope the Aussies/Kiwis would do something because they are the underdog. So Germany was my legit #2. I don’t have a problem with soccer itself, it just needs to open up scoring a bit by changing the offsides rules and get rid of diving. My god is the diving ridiculous, when someone gets their leg hooked and they fall down its a trip, dont grab your ankle and start wiggling around on the ground crying like your goldfish died.
He raged at the world, at his family, at his life. But mostly he just raged.
Just because Jay McClement is the best defensive forward in the NHL doesn't mean he should win the Selke.
It makes sense to me to have there be no offsides once the ball is below the top of the 18 yard box. I mean really offside 10 feet from the goal? That’s stupid.
I've always wanted to be a PPP Princess. You see kids, you can be anything you want to be; so long as Jay Leno doesn't also want to be that.
haha true
oh, and add some ice, give them Sticke and blades on their feet, shrink that big stupid soft ball and squish it flat…

From Spectors blog
BOSTON GLOBE: Fluto Shinzawa reports on five things he sees unfolding for the Bruins over the course of the off-season. Topping the list is either trading or waiving center Marc Savard if he won’t waive his NTC for more teams than the Leafs or Senators, and he suggests moving him to Toronto for Tomas Kaberle.
Free Savard? I doubt this happens though. And the Islanders would want him as well I’m sure.
As a Toronto sports fan I proudly follow the lessons of lachrymology.
It would be really funny if this happened now after our 2 weeks of Kovy fixation / tantrums.
And awesome too.
Isles want players with high cap hit/low salary, not low cap hit/high salary

We should trade them Tucker’s buyout for future considerations. (Note: I’m pretty sure this is illegal.)

I was thinking Savard beside Tavares
As a Toronto sports fan I proudly follow the lessons of lachrymology.
Tavares is a natural center in the Jeff Carter mold I.E. goal scorer, he probably wouldn’t convert well to the wing. He needs a guy like Alex Tanguay (when he was good) to feed him the puck. Unfortunatly I haven’t seen a decent playmaking winger since…ever? Maybe St.Louis but he’s more of an allround player to me.
Don't think, it hurts the team!
"Kneel before Todd!!"
Yes I find myself VERY amusing
Kabanov (if he reaches his potential and doesnt go crazy) could be the perfect winger for johnny T, he is fast, creative and can make room with his size, he can also pot the puck pretty good

Yeah, I just checked the Leafs roster, I didn’t realize the club still considered Russian super-villain Konstantin Volkov (sounds super villainy to me) a prospect, or that Tyler Ruegsegger put up 41 points in 41 games in college hockey this year (he may not make the NHL due to his size, too bad he seems like a talented player)

Im afraid the demand for a puck moving defenseman isn’t out there and if your gonna end up keeping him because the only top 6 forward you will get offered is one with some sort of drawback.
He raged at the world, at his family, at his life. But mostly he just raged.
Just because Jay McClement is the best defensive forward in the NHL doesn't mean he should win the Selke.
wrong
teams that desperately NEED a puck moving defenseman (off the top of my head)
Buffalo
Dallas
New Jersey
and there are a few more out there that have (apparently) expressed interest in Kaberle in LA, Anaheim and Columbus.
No one right now wants to pony up the asking price it would seem (or are waiting for other UFA/trade dominoes to fall)
I agree that the return for kabby wont be some sort of fantastical team saver, but saying there isnt a demand for a puck mover is a might silly
You may be taking Jared a little too seriously
by JaredFromLondon on Jul 11, 2010 5:45 PM EDT up reply actions
I don’t believe desparate is the word. People could use someone with Kaberles talents but theres not going to be some sort of bidding war for him. Teams who seriously needed a D-Man signed one in free agency early on. Dallas and CBJ could use everything at this point, I was under the impression Buffalo has Myers, im not sure about NJs situation. LA and Anaheim could both use him and ive stated before you could probably get Clowe for Kabby but thats not huge return for him. People do want him and they will offer something but im not sure anything more than a good second liner is whats going to be offered.
He raged at the world, at his family, at his life. But mostly he just raged.

well, i guess they don’t need gretzky, orr or sawchuk because, you know, they have tyler myers!
