Thought I had earlier: What if Caputi/Mueller are supposed to be Kulemin B? I mean, at that point, we’ve got

Kulemin-Bozak-Kessel
Mueller/Caputi-Grabovski-Versteeg
Caputi/Mueller-Mitchell-Armstrong
Sjostrom-Hanson-Brown
Orr

The top two lines run more as a 1a/1b than a clear 1/2, and maybe Kadri spends a little time on that 2nd LW slot (or 2nd RW, Versteeg swaps sides).

I mean, Mueller seems to fit a very similar type to Kulemin, and Caputi wouldn’t be as good defensively, but could easily fill that role in the corners…

unless he steals a job out of camp I dont see how he’ll start on anything but the Marlies.

It’ll be nice to have a few fringe NHL players that can push the big guys. Bozak has earned a permenent spot, probably Mitchell too on the 3rd/4th line, but Hansen, Kadri, Mueller, Caputi are all guys who are going to be pushing for roster spots.

Caputi will probably already get one since he’s dominated the A, needs to get more of a chance with the Leafs.

Ugh I miss actual hockey. Offseasons suck.

if Hanson gets signed, he is all but guarenteed a roster spot by default because (at current) the leafs only have one bottom 6er center, and unless they think Kadri can swing a 3LC gig…who else is there?
