Having read the exhaustive discussion to date, I have wracked my brains and come  up with little of substance that hasn't already been said, and better. But that's never stopped me before, so I've put a bit of a welly to it, and come up with a new criterion:

A seriously, stupendously, super satisfying serialization:

Sundin, Sitler, Smythe, Salming.

50% Swedish, seventy-five percent skaters, 100% sibilant.

I can just see it: Sweet slap shot is a certain score till it's serendipitously saved by Sawchuk's stick. Shooter severally slashes, spears and slashes at a Syl Apps (who stays serene with some semblance of success), and serves six for sheer savagery in sensationally suspect call.
