Time for some on-ice entertainment: Leafs at Sabres
Who: The Toronto Maple Leafs against the Buffalo Sabres
What: The 43rd game of the 2011-12 regular season
When: 7:30
Where: TSN, or on the radio at AM640
The Sabres look for revenge after Jonas Gustavsson shut them out on Tuesday. The Leafs lineup will remain the same, as Gardiner will watch from the press box, and Komisarek will play the left side. Miller gets the start, and Roy should be returning to the Sabres' roster.
This is the first of a back-to-back for the Leafs, and Ron Wilson is staying true to his "win and you're in" comment, as Gustavsson will try to extend the Leafs' winning streak to 5. The Leafs have taken just three shorthanded shots on goal over their last three games, and given the PK's season percentage, should try to avoid putting their system and players to the test.
Lineups, care of @TSNScottyMac:
Lupul-Connolly-Kessel
Crabb-Grabovski-Kulemin
MacArthur-Lombardi-Kadri
Boyce-Steckel-Brown
-
Aulie-Phaneuf
Gunnarsson-Schenn
Komisarek-Franson
-
Gustavsson
Reimer
-----
Buffalo:
Vanek-Hecht-Pominville
Boyes-Leino-Stafford
Adam-Roy-McCormick
Gerbe-Gaustad-Kaleta
-
McNabb-Meyers
Leopold-Regehr
Gragnani-Weber
-
Miller
Enroth
Ennis, Stuart, Sekera, and Mr. Moneybags Ehrhoff are their season-destroying injured scratches. Poor Pegula doesn't watch the rest of the league much.

It’s better than watching the Raptors continuously play Andrea Gragnani.

Paul Hendrick owns
Leafs have 162 man games lost to injury compared to buffalo’s 167. Both teams also lost starting goalies and key defencemen.#noexcuses

This is the time I start to get really nervous
Burke is cookin something up..
Plus we really need to win these games!
I wonder if Burke will pull the trigger if the Leafs keep winning. I know he said he would but…..
Being a Leafs fan makes me bipolar.
even if he does I doubt he does it mid game. LOLhabs

I hear ya.
I’m a little bit antsy myself. Nervous about this Schenn-JVR trade for sure, nobody will admit it but the defence core would miss him big time. The guy’s 22, have some friggin patience… but of course, that’s what they’re saying in Philly about JVR as well.
well, that escalated quickly
I found these two links regarding strength of schedule
Why do I post this? Well, if these numbers are accurate, then… LOL SABRES!

Some people read the threads at work and appreciate the ability to close the pictures down. It’s a matter of common courtesy and I appreciate everyone complying.
Of course, using tittles is pretty funny and I heartily approve.

I don’t know why, but I have a mental block when it comes to paying attention to which side our D are playing. I would honestly have to guess which side every one of our D play.

i also pay very little attention to it. wingers too to some extent. i mean, it’s clear if there’s an opportunity to clear the zone and the guy’s on the wrong hand or something. but it never really sticks with me who should be where.

Is is even listed on which side a defender normally plays? Typically you just see a defenseman listed as “D”.

Anyone else a bit scared about penalties tonight?
I get the feeling the lack of in-game work on the PK might have them rusty and with not being at home and only taking a few in the past few games the bubble is going to burst.
Meh. They can just score, like, ten goals. Buffalo’s leaky in net, yeah?
