Before the slide: 61pts in 53 games. 1.15ppg.
Of the 17 games remaining, 9 are against teams currently in the top 8.
I guess the silver lining is that all our remaining games are against teams in the East, and we still have 6 games against teams that are going for the 8th spot just like we are.
So at first I thought it would take a couple wins before we went back to hoping for playoffs, but I was wrong. Only one win

Well, mathematically, we scored 3 times as many goals as the Habs.
Which means Carlyle’s Leafs are pretty great.
Still, given that Boston and the Rangers and Penguins and Flyers are pretty good teams, the evidence says we’ll probably regress a bit, and only be twice as good as them from here on out.
So, I expect we’ll win all the rest of our games 4-2 and 6-3 and such.

I’d show more of the math behind these calculations, but it’s pretty complex.
I even had to carry the 1 in some of the formulae.

You’re right, sounds like it required some very intensive thinking. Way over my head. Time to call Burtch in to make sure it checks out.
Riding the Leafs bandwagon since 1991.

Should the Leafs claim Turco?
If the Leafs claim him, it will prevent the Bruins from getting him….I think they should…
