Why my team is just straight up better than yours:
- 2-way play: I stacked my roster with guys who are known for being not only offensive powerhouses but can handle their own zone as well. With Toews, Eriksson, Nielsen, and Couturier on forward and Chara, Pietrangelo, Gunnarsson and MIKE WEAVER on the back-end, good luck even getting a puck on net. Oh and let's not forget faceoffs - Toews with a 59.4% faceoff win% and Pavelski with a 58.7%.
- Offense: When 8 of your 9 Forwards have at least one 30+ goal season under their belt, you're doing okay. Pair that with the firepower from the backend of Chara, Pietrangelo and Edler (4th, 5th and 7th defensemen point producers in 11/12 respectively),
- PK Prowess: Couturier and Ryan Jones both crack the Top 20 in terms of SH TOI, and Frans Nielsen, Jonathan Toews, Loui Eriksson and Cal Clutterbuck aren't shy about it either. Pietrangelo and Mike Weaver are big PK minute eaters on the back-end and we all know what Carl Gunnarsson can do.
- Goaltending: I don't need to remind anyone about Jonathan Quick or how young netminder Holtby can stop a puck. Aimed for youth a bit here, but both goalies have bright futures.
- Average Age: 26.13. This group has a mix of veteran experience and youth in all key positions.
