Research Shows that Introducing Checking at an Earlier Age Does Not Help Prevent Injuries Later

This idea was hotly debated a few months back, with many people arguing both sides. I for one am against checking being introduced to young players because it stymies their hockey skills development. Now that researchers have shown that it doesn't stymy their injuries later in life, that's just more evidence to back up the theory that checking should wait.
