SBN New Jersey: All About The Jersey

Preview

IT'S ALMOST OVER OH MY GOD FINALLY THIS SEASON IS ALMOST FINALLY OVER THANK GILMOUR SUNDIN BE PRAISED HOLY CRAP

Well, now that we got that out of the way, let's move on shall we?

The Leafs play the New Jersey Devils in their last game of the season, which totally makes sense. This is their first trip to New Jersey in their final game of the season, which also makes sense. Lou Lamoriello, the Devils GM from 1987 to 2015, will get a video tribute tonight. In typical Lou fashion, he ain't saying nothin:

Also, if one of Parenteau or Komarov don't score tonight, the Leafs will fail to have a 20-goal scorer for the first time since 1938-39. It's been a fun year.

Projected Leafs Lineup

This is bad, even for them.

Brooks Laich - Tyler Bozak - P.A. Parenteau

Colin Greening - William Nylander - Tobias Lindberg

Leo Komarov - Frederik Gauthier - Michael Grabner

Sam Carrick - Byron Froese - Brad Boyes

Morgan Rielly - Martin Marincin

Jake Gardiner - Frank Corrado

Andrew Campbell - T.J. Brennan

Garret Sparks

Projected New Jersey Lineup

The big news in New Jersey is prospect Pavel Zacha, selected 6th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft, will make his NHL debut tonight:

Pavel Zacha, by the way, was born in 1997. Patrik Elias had already played 18 games for the Devils by that point. This might also be Elias' final NHL game, which spawns the question: who ACTUALLY remembered Patrik Elias still played for the Devils? I thought he retired, like, five years ago.

Patrik Elias - Pavel Zacha - Devante Smith-Pelly

Sergey Kalinin - Travis Zajac - Kyle Palmieri

Miles Wood - Adam Henrique - Tyler Kennedy

Jacob Josefson - Stephen Gionta - Tuomo Ruutu

Andy Greene - Adam Larsson

David Schlemko - Steven Santini

John Moore - Damon Severson

Cory Schneider

Prediction

Yada yada yada blah blah blah; who cares?
