Maple Leafs Game Previews
DOWN THE JETS!
The Toronto Maple Leafs are in Winnpeg to face off against the Jets tonight for the final time this season. A win by the Leafs tonight would put them up 10 points up on a Jets team that is increasingly desperate to stay in the playoff race. Here's hoping the Leafs can drive the first nail in their proverbial playoff coffin.

Leafs Host The Islanders
Yes, Jonas Gustavsson is starting in net, and yes, the New York Islanders have won three games in a row heading into tonight, but let's face it: they're still the New York Islanders, and the Leafs are facing them at the ACC. After a disappointing loss against the Habs, this is the perfect rebound opportunity. Even with those three consecutive wins, the Islanders are still just one point out of last place in the Eastern Conference.
Two wins tonight and tomorrow would put the Leafs back in the playoff picture, and all will be well in Leafland. Let's keep our chins up, heads on swivels, and sticks on the ice. Let's have a little optimism!
Time for some on-ice entertainment: Leafs at Sabres
Who: The Toronto Maple Leafs against the Buffalo Sabres
What: The 43rd game of the 2011-12 regular season
When: 7:30
Where: TSN, or on the radio at AM640
The Sabres look for revenge after Jonas Gustavsson shut them out on Tuesday. The Leafs lineup will remain the same, as Gardiner will watch from the press box, and Komisarek will play the left side. Miller gets the start, and Roy should be returning to the Sabres' roster.
Aged Like Fine Wine: Yesterday's Preview of Today's Game
Puck Drop: 7:00

The Toronto Maple Leafs are getting set to kick off the second half of their schedule with a home-and-home against division rivals The Buffalo Sabres. Tonight's game will see the Leafs' at home, and then play in Buffalo on Friday.
Winners of their last three games, the Leafs will be looking to increase their lead over the Sabres from 6 to 8 points and expand their current 2-point cushion over the 9th place Winnipeg Jets. It's unlikely that Buffalo ever manages to pull even, but stranger things have happened, and it wouldn't take much of a slip to fall from the playoff rankings, so it's another important two points for the Leafs. Of course, given the way things are going, it's probably going to be a tight race to make the playoffs, so probably almost every game from here on in is going to be an important two points.
