Today, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced their rookie camp and tournament roster. The games start September 8 in Toronto this year. The roster has a few invitees, but it’s mostly familiar faces, dominated by draft picks. This won’t be anything like the development camp full of try-outs.

It’s nice to see Nikita Korostelev still on the Leafs’ radar even though his rights have expired. And Carl Grundström is coming over for this event, and likely training camp as well. Perhaps we’ll get clarification on his status.
Also here from the development camp roster are Kristian Pospisil, Cole Coskey, Marc-Olivier Duquette and Jonathan Smart.
Pospisil has been signed to an AHL deal, but this is a chance for the other three to impress the brass again.
The regular Marlies coaching staff will run the show, and tickets are still being sold.
