So hopefully Pogge's starting, is what I'm getting at here. The Leafs have won 5 of their last 7, and that streak kicked off with a 3-1 victory over the Islanders. The Islanders are an abyssmal 10-21-1, meaning the Leafs have a lot of work to do if they don't want to see John Tavares wearing
aqua blue and orange (or more likely St. Burke needs to trade up in the draft).
The Isles seem to have caught the injury bug:
|Rick DiPietro||2008-10-30||on injured reserve and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks||knee surgery|
|Frans Nielsen||2008-11-22||on injured reserve and is expected to miss 8-12 weeks||right leg|
|Bruno Gervais||2008-11-24||on injured reserve||leg|
|Radek Martinek||2008-12-05||on injured reserve||right shoulder|
|Mike Sillinger||2008-12-12||on injured reserve||strained groin|
|Nate Thompson||2008-12-16||on injured reserve and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks||broken ankle|
|Andy Sutton||2008-12-20||on injured reserve and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks||broken right foot|
|Doug Weight||2008-12-24||questionable for Friday's game against Toronto||strained groin|
On the Leafs injury front, Mike Van Ryn is listed as "doubtful" for Friday night's tilt, but should hopefully be getting closer to skating.
