The Maple Leafs play host to fellow Original Six member Detroit tonight. Last night's game resulted in a Clarke MacArthur three game suspension as well as an eventful night for the Jake Gardiner - Mike Komisarek pairing.

After the jump, lineups for both squads and some thoughts on what to look for tonight.

  1. How will Matthew Lombardi do and how much ice-time will he get in his first game action in 12 months?
  2. Will Matt Frattin do in his audition to start with Kulemin and Grabovski during MacArthur's absence?
  3. Can Jake Gardiner continue his push for a spot on the NHL roster? (Note: Do not ask Ron Wilson this question)
  4. Can Carl Gunnarsson make enough of an impact to prevent being sent to the press box?
  5. Which Mike Komisarek will we see: second period Komi or overtime Komi?
  6. Will Kessel begin to finish off some of the great scoring chances he's been creating?

The final thing to look for is whether anyone on the bubble can do enough to meet this threshold set by Ron Wilson:

"It’s like a puzzle, you can put the puzzle together but we haven’t cemented it. Unless someone shakes the table."
