Trade power rankings!

Since Nashville entered the league, the Leafs and Predators have five trades with each other. Here they are, ranked. All trade data is taken from NHL Trade Tracker:

1. The Brett Lebda Trade

Toronto Maple Leafs acquire Date Nashville Predators acquire
Cody Franson Matthew Lombardi 2013 conditional 4th round pick (if Lombardi plays less than 60 regular-season games in 2011-12 and 2012-13)
July 3, 2011
Brett Lebda Robert Slaney 2013 conditional 4th round pick (if Lombardi plays 60 or more regular-season games in 2011-12 and 2012-13)

Remember that time Brian Burke somehow managed to trade Brett Lebda (who famously post a -3 in a game the Leafs won 9-3). Not only did he manage to trade Lebda, he actually was able to get useful Cody Franson and marginally useful player Matthew Lombardi in return. Ledba was later bought out by Nashville.

2. The Ghost of the Brett Lebda Trade

Nashville Predators acquire Date Toronto Maple Leafs acquire
Cody Franson Mike Santorelli
February 15, 2015
Olli Jokinen Brendan Leipsic 2015 1st round pick

Four years after the Predators traded Cody Franson for Brett Lebda, Nashville decided they wanted Franson back. They traded Maple Leafs Legend Olli Jokinen, promising prospect Brendan Leipsic, and a first round pick for pending UFAs Franson and Santorelli. To add insult to injury, Franson was stuck behind Shea Weber, Seth Jones, and Roman Josi on right defense, had a string of very bad puck luck after the trade deadline, and signed with Buffalo in the offseason.

3. Or, A Team Was Actually Willing to Pay an Asset to Acquire Tie Domi's Rights

2003 8th round pick (#237-Shaun Landolt)
June 30, 2002
rights to Tie Domi

The title really says it all. I don't know what they were thinking with this one.

4. Seriously, Why Does Nashville Keep Giving Up Assets for Enforcers?

Toronto Maple Leafs acquire Date Nashville Predators acquire
Taylor Beck
July 12, 2015
Jamie Devane

13 years after the Domi trade, Nashville did it again, giving up AAAA player Taylor Beck for AHL enforcer Jamie Devane.

5. Or, I Have No Idea Who Either of These Players Are

Toronto Maple Leafs acquire Date Nashville Predators acquire
Nathan Perrott
December 31, 2002
Bob Wren

The Leafs and Predators swapped AHLers in 2002. I'll count this one as a draw but it should be noted that Wren never played an NHL game for the Predators while Perrott played 43 (likely mediocre) games with the Leafs.

That's it for this edition of trade power rankings! Here's a poll:
