When was the last time the Leafs drafted in the top four?

/u/I_Am_Vladimir_Putin on Reddit did a bit of digging, and found that the last time the Leafs drafted in the top four, it was... 1989. (Thanks, Putin!)

They took Scott Thornton third overall. Scott Thornton did not really have a third overall-worthy career, probably.

Last year's fourth overall pick, Sam Bennett, seems to be doing pretty well, though. And this year's could be Dylan Strome or Mitch Marner or someone else very, very exciting. So that's good news!
