Sharks are interested in former Leafs coach Randy Carlyle


A first round playoff series aside, the Toronto Maple Leafs, under Randy Carlyle, didn't experience a ton of success.

With Carlyle still on the open market for a coaching job, though - and that's exactly what he wants to do - the San Jose Sharks, who just mutually parted ways with Todd McLellan, are interested.

In terms of fancy stats, Carlyle's teams historically haven't had much going for them, while the Sharks, under McLellan, were pretty good. So that could be an interesting marriage, should it come to pass...
