Really, there are three very, very good options after the McEichel tandem, and the Leafs will have a choice between two of them.
And McKenzie does not think Strome will end up a Leaf. Marner seems to be the guy in mind, but the Leafs could end up bolstering their blueline if he's not around, instead.
Of course, McKenzie's word is hardly law when it comes to speculation (he didn't think Mike Babcock would go to Toronto!), and the Leafs could end up bypassing Hanifin all together.
Either way, while they're definitely getting a great player at fourth overall, they need help pretty much everywhere, so it's still just a start. A good start, but with a lot more to come.
