Every year, Forbes makes a list of the world's 50 most valuable sports teams.
It should come as no surprise that hockey is underrepresented; the NHL is, after all, at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to the big four of North American sports - and then it has to contend with the rest of the world. Especially soccer. The rest of the world really likes soccer.
But hey, the Leafs won at something! Kind of. They're the only hockey team on the entire list, tied for 37th overall, alongside the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Angels, and Miami Dolphins, at a value of $1.3 billion.
That's a lot of money. And when it comes to hockey, there's nobody better.
