Reports out of the Intercounty Baseball League surfaced today that the long-time owner of the Toronto club has sold the team to none other than good Toronto boy Steven Stamkos.
Details are sketchy right now but there are rumours that the home field of the team in Christie Pits, now named Dominico Field in honour of the current owner, will be renamed Stamkos Field.
We can only hope he tries on the team gear and takes a few swings in batting practice because this logo should look good on him:
Maybe he'll get used to the blue leaf. We can dream can't we?
