Listen to Mike Babcock and Auston Matthews meet the press in Vegas ahead of the Awards on Wednesday. They are the Toronto Maple Leafs nominees for awards.

It’s the usual Babcock lines, predictable, and full of the basic philosophy of how the team needs to get better.

Matthews is also his usual self, but the smile comes out when he gets to be the one who is familiar with the extreme weather the Canadian media is suffering from. He also knows how to talk about growing the game in new markets. As an ambassador for that NHL goal, he’s perfect.
