Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

The NHL season is back, and so is another episode of Back to Excited. In our longest podcast yet, Fulemin and I discuss a whole bunch of stuff, including:

  • Their early season takeaways (including Arvind admitting he's wrong about something) [1:50]
  • The Pickard trade, and why it was smart to trade for him, rather than claim him [37:00]
  • The Leafs divisional rivals, and why they all suck [45:55]

Among our early season takeaways is a HOT TAEK about one of the Leafs’ Big 3, and how he has fallen short of some expectations so far. Who are we referring to? You have to listen to find out!

We also spend a great deal of time mocking the Leafs divisional rivals. Specifically, we discuss the inanity of playing Dan Girardi on your top pair, Florida’s continued desire to prove themselves the dumbest team in hockey, and Ottawa’s..... everything. We would have discussed the Red Wings too, but they’re not really relevant enough to make fun of anymore.

As always, let us know what you think in the comments. You can find the podcast on Soundcloud, iTunes, Google Play, and any other distributor of fine audio content.
