While the Leafs fell nobly in their first-round playoff series, that doesn’t mean the season is over for everybody.  Multiple Leafs journeyed across the Atlantic to join in the IIHF World Championships, and they seem to be enjoying themselves.

2017 IIHF World Championships preview

Most prominently: Canadian Mitch Marner, who has a two point game going against Switzerland.  Marner’s night of work includes this goal that was supposed to be an assist:

Get the puck around the net, and good things will happen.  Marner also had an assist on Canada’s first goal.

Switzerland yanked poor Jonas Hiller after the Marner goal, too.  I’m sure the replacement goalie will do much better.
