PPP After Dark: Toronto Marlies start second round; Blues face second round exit

New, comments

The Blues could be the first team eliminated form the Stanley Cup Playoffs second round tonight.

Froese Celebration Christian Bonin -

The Marlies kick-off their second round Calder Cup playoff series tonight against the Syracuse Crunch, the affiliates of the Tampa Bay Lightning. There’s a familiar face on that team, Byron Froese. Froese was traded to Tampa at the trade deadline as part of the deal for Brian Boyle.

We are working on getting the discount code back up and working for you again. The first home game is next Tuesday, and we are assured it will again work before then.

Tonight’s Schedule

(all times EDT)

7:00 PM
Marlies @ Crunch on Leafs TV

8:00 PM
Predators @ Blues on CBC

TGIF, everyone!

Here’s what we wrote about today.

Maple Leafs have a few more RFAs to sign - Katya
With the big RFA contract already done, there’s a pair of NHL regulars left to sign and a few top AHL players.

Don’t forget the IIHF World Hockey Championships have officially started. Canada defeated the Czech Republic 4-1 earlier today in their first match, but not before a scuffle broke out between two NHL teammates.

Who will allow the fewest goals tonight?
