Today USA Hockey announced their Olympic hockey rosters for the 2018 winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

The only Maple Leafs connection we have is Mark Arcobello, who briefly played for the Maple Leafs in the 2015-16 season, but spent most of that year with the Toronto Marlies. Marcobello, as he was affectionately known, played 20 NHL games, scored three goals with one assist for four points. He played 49 games for the Marlies, scoring 25 goals with 34 assists for 59 points in the AHL.

After being released by the Maple Leafs he joined SC Bern in the Swiss National League where he’s still playing. In the NLA he has 38 goals, 54 assists for 92 points in 83 games.

Good luck in the Olympics Mark. This concludes today’s edition of ‘Forcing the Maple Leafs into the news’.
