We have a Goalie goal!
Ian Scott’s been stopping just about everything this year, and now he’s proving that he can score as well. Scott, 19, was selected by the Leafs in the fourth round of the 2017 entry draft, and he’s certainly looking like a good pick at this point.
Clearly, the Leafs are stacked with goal scorers in their organization, with Auston Matthews and John Tavares at the NHL level, and Ian Scott in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Rasmus Sandin scored his third goal of the year in just his sixth game of the season. Unfortunately, Sandin is not a goalie, so he does not get an article for every goal he scores.
Let’s hope Team Canada’s World Junior coaching staff is watching, as Scott has clearly proven that he’s a lethal scoring threat.
