There is word that Nick Leddy and Johnny Boychuck may be in the lineup tonight, but it is not yet confirmed.

The last time these teams met was in February. The Leafs had a rough start but Matthews tied up the game in the third. It went to a shootout where none other than Tyler Bozak scored the only goal.

The Islanders are reeling right now. There’s a whole lot of drama going on with missing the playoffs, and the Tavares contract situation. To top it off Josh Ho-Sang added some fuel to the fire yesterday with some smart commentary on his situation that was easy to wildly misinterpret. And most people did.

The Islanders have nothing to win and nothing to lose except pride. Perhaps Tavares wants to show the Leafs what he is capable of tonight? We shall see.

Folks. The Leafs have clinched a playoff slot and this game doesn’t mean anything. Sure, I guess you could say they need to start warming up for the playoffs now, but I am not going to spend more time on a preview of a game that doesn’t really matter than this. Especially against a team in such disarray as the Islanders are now.

JvR will get how many goals tonight?
