6 goals in 5 games since switching to black tape. Of course, it's nothing more than a sticky, 1 inch wide placebo but it's worked magic for Kessel. He's taken back the team lead in goals with 25, and is tied for 15th in the league with guys like [Jarome Iginla](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54657/jarome-iginla?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) and [Brenden Morrow](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55184/brenden-morrow?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com). He's awful. We should trade him.....or maybe not.

It’s a truism: winning teams are close-knit teams, and Bozak, author of three points on the night, said the good feelings from the current hot spell have created a new climate around the team.

"Last year we weren’t this close when I was here, everyone’s excited and looking forward to keeping this thing going. We’re not worried about what other teams are doing," he said.

Everybody loves a winner, and everyone wants to be a part of a winning team. Good karma has a way of making the bounces go your way and the Leafs are taking full advantage of that fact to the tune of a 6-2-2 record over their last 10\. If they keep that pace up for the remaining 21 games, they'll earn 29-30 points...........good enough for 90-91 on the season and dare I say it........PLAYOFFS!!!!!1 Hold onto your hats Leafs fans, this is going to be a bumpy ride down the home stretch.
