The Leafs last game was away on February 8 against the Vancouver Canucks, which Toronto lost by a score of 2-1 in regulation. The Leafs have a record of 33-20-2 for a 0.618 Points %.

The Carolina Hurricanes last played at home on February 8 against the Utah Hockey Club. The Hurricanes won by a score of 7-3 in regulation, and their current league record is 33-19-4 for a 0.625 Points %.

### Them

The big scary red machine that always beats the Leafs has a record pretty similar. The last meeting was in January, and Toronto lost 6-3 with Joe Woll in net, having what is likely his worst game of the year. 

Carolina is, as always, puck dominant to an extreme, with an extremely high pace of offence. They undercut all this a lot by shooting from the weeds. They give up the potential to score and play defence well enough, but mostly they just don't have to defend.

We might see a lot less ice time from those two than usual – also Jaccob Slavin. Otherwise, this is a shake the rust off game for both teams.
