In a move that many saw coming, [Rich Clune](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54589/rich-clune?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) was placed on waivers today. The roster move was likely made to account for [Scott Harrington](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/132360/scott-harrington?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) and Jonathan Bernier's returns from injured reserve. In two games played so far this season, Clune registered no goals, no assists, and 5 PIM.

Clune made waves in his second NHL game by garnering a [five-minute boarding penalty](http://nhl.nbcsports.com/2015/10/31/rich-clune-given-five-minute-major-for-boarding-scuderi/?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) on [Penguins](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/teams/pittsburgh-penguins?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) defenseman Rob Scuderi. He sat out of the next two games as a healthy scratch.
