Senior AA and Midget AA is some really good hockey. And remember, there's no gate fee for girls hockey in the OWHA. Hit a rink and watch all day. Vote Duke as best AHL Mascot!

Toronto Marlies mascot Duke needs your help! In the AHL's Mascot Madness voting, he's falling far behind Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins mascot Tux in voting to move on to the next round.

Leafs fans, we can not stand for this. The best AHL team can't see it's mascot lose to a penguin.

Head over in the link above and vote for Duke!

Soshnikov injured in Sabres game

Nikita Soshnikov took an awkward fall into the boards during the first period of tonight's game against the Buffalo Sabres. As you can see in the above gif, Soshnikov was trying to go for a check but tripped over his intended target and instead went down backwards.

Soshnikov lay on the ice for a few scary minutes while the Leafs trainer came out. He was escorted off the ice to the quiet room, but returned to the Leafs bench near three-quarter mark of the period.

Earlier in the period, he tallied his first NHL assist on a goal by Leo Komarov.

WATCH: William Nylander's first NHL goal

Brooks Laich passes to William Nylander who snipes it high glove side for his first ever NHL goal.

A familiar family moment as Brooks Laich also assisted on Michael Nylander's last NHL goal.

This is one of many, many, to come, though this one is extra nice as his first NHL goal AND it's versus the Senators!

A Box For Mr. B, please

Could someone tell me A) When did Bergevin become a homeless man and B) Am I the only one delighted that he is ok with the "direction" of it all?

Nazem Kadri beats the Flyers for the assist of the year

We know Nazem Kadri is good, extremely talented even. But this, this is something.

Watch Kadri step around or through three Flyers players before dishing cross-crease to Peter Holland.

The assist was Kadri's 18th of the season and 106th in the NHL, but it might be his nicest.

What a play.

WATCH: Mitch Marner dazzles to tie the game for the Knights

With some beautiful moves, not to mention a lot of stubborn persistence, Mitch Marner scores his first of two against the Niagara IceDogs tonight.

Between this gem, which was named the "Play of the Knight" and the eventual game winning goal, Marner earned first star honours in the 3-1 Knights win.

Currently Marner sits second in the OHL scoring race with 44 goals and 82 assists.
