Tonight TSN decided to rank contributions by hockey players and management to both the game, and, for unknown reasons, contributions by Carey Price to First Nations and Aboriginal peoples. In an act demonstrating a total lack of self-awareness TSN then broadcast a vote by its panelists that declared Connor McDavid had the "greatest gift" of the year, because he was Connor McDavid or something. I don't even know where to start.
IMGUR user AnxiousOx has redesigned NHL jerseys for the post-RBK Edge era - the 2017-2018 NHL season.
Above we see his design for the new Toronto Maple Leafs home jersey, complete with sponsorship patch. You can view the Leafs away sweaters here.
The jerseys are described by the creator as: I've always loved the detailed leaf logo. It's traditional and it's a classic. The design is directly inspired by Toronto's jerseys from 1927.
I think it's an upgrade on what we have now, you can check out the entire NHL for yourself located here.
If jerseys concepts are your thing, you can get lost over at the Icethetics concept gallery, where this design was originally submitted to.
Maple Leaf Gardens opened its doors to the first ever Maple Leafs game there 84 years ago today.
On November 12th, 1931,13,542 fans crammed the Gardens (even though official capacity was just 12,473) to watch the Maple Leafs take on the Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago would win the game 2-1 that night.
The Maple Leafs left the Gardens on February 13th, 1999, again losing to the Chicago Blackhawks, 6-2.
Maple Leaf Gardens is now home to Ryerson University's athletics program and still features hockey games to this day.

Hey, it's Snizzbone!
Panoramic images of crowds at large sporting events are always fun, aren't they? And at least just a little creepy?
Well, Game 3 of the ALCS was huge. And /u/tarontoe found someone really cool in the crowd. Go Toronto sports team solidarity!
Okay, THAT'S commitment.
According to Elliotte Friedman's 30 Thoughts, Morgan Rielly worked on battle drills over his offseason, all to get better.
There's something else he did to improve, though: change his diet. And that meant giving up pizza.
Now that's sacrifice.
