# Fraser Minten traded to Saskatoon

Jeff Marek had it first, and he reports multiple picks going back.

Minten's team, the Kamloops Blazers, are the worst team in the Western Conference, as they rebuild off a Memorial Cup run. 

Saskatoon, his new home, is in second place in the Eastern Conference, and are confidently a playoff team with 23 games played. The Blades are also the home of Leafs prospect Brandon Lisowsky.

This is early for a trade in the CHL, but it was obvious the second Minten was returned from the Leafs that he could be a key piece in a better team's season, not just their playoffs. 

It is very likely Minten's season in the WHL will not end before the AHL playoffs are over, so he is less likely to see any action in Toronto now until next season.
