The headline that made me laugh the most was this one:

[Beavers were welcomed back to the Netherlands. Until they started digging 17m-long tunnels | Renate van der ZeeReintroduced to help boost biodiversity and retain water, beavers are now in danger of causing serious flooding. Should there be more culls? asks Dutch writer and journalist Renate van der Zee![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/34/01/3401a938-f468-4c02-a227-9bc4cc09bad4/content/images/icon/apple-touch-icon-512-9.png)The GuardianRenate van der Zee![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/34/01/3401a938-f468-4c02-a227-9bc4cc09bad4/content/images/thumbnail/5758.jpg)](https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2025/aug/28/beavers-netherlands-tunnels-environmental-flooding-culls?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com)

Who could have ever foreseen this?

So, Diageo is not stupid, they still have a plant in Canada so they can maintain Canadian orders to places like Ontario that still ban US booze, but it is an interestingly timed move:

Many years ago, I saw a movie use Crown Royal to signify classy liquor, and I remain amazed that Americans think this is the good shit. Have you tried bourbon, guys? It's pretty good.

Hands up if you have a purple Crown Royal bag full of marbles and/or D&D dice.

Okay, CBC, you can keep this article to yourselves:

Feel free to add your non-hockey news, but keep it in the realm of rainbow grilled cheese and scary bugs, eh. Because lately the news hasn't been an easy read. We can take a day off.

Happy Friday, you get two T25 hits today, hope you enjoy.
